The Allergen Awareness course is ideal for food handlers who have very little, or no knowledge of allergens or food intolerances. The course gives learners a basic awareness of allergens, food intolerances and how to control them in a manufacturing environment

- Risk Assessment and Control of Allergens in Food Processing
- Testing for the Presence of Allergens
- End of Course Multi-Choice Test
It should take you around 1 – 2 hours to complete the course and the exam. The course is divided into 4 short modules; followed by a 10 question multiple-choice exam, for which the pass mark is 7 out of 10.
You will have access to a Course Glossary which contains an explanation of some of the terms used in this course. There are a number of activities or quizzes to complete during the course and you will be directed to each task at the appropriate time.
Courses can start at any time, candidates learn at their own pace by completing the modules, quizzes and online activities; the examination is a multiple choice test done online at the end of the course
